What is full custom headwear?
Full custom headwear means your hats are built from the ground up. You choose the shape, fabric, closure, and embellishments. Unlike blank stock hats, nothing is pre-made. This gives you complete control to create a unique product that will resonate with your customers, right down to custom touches like interior branding.
What are the minimums and lead times for full custom orders?
Our minimum for full custom orders is 72 pieces per style, per colorway. Sampling typically takes around 3 weeks. Once approved, production lead time is about 50 days with air freight or 75 days with ocean freight. If you have a hard deadline, let your account manager know at the start of the project so we can plan accordingly and do our best to accommodate.
Am I limited to the options shown in the full custom pages?
Not at all. What we’ve shown is a comprehensive selection of the most popular shapes, fabrics, closures, and embellishments, curated based on years of experience and what’s performing best across the industry. That said, trends are always evolving, and if you’re looking for something specific you don’t see, just reach out. In most cases, brands find exactly what they need from our core offering, but we’re always open to exploring new ideas with you.
What options are there to customize full custom hats?
With full custom, you first choose your shape, then customize it with your choice of fabric, closure, and embellishments. From mild to wild, you have full control over every last detail, right down to the interior branding. Can I see a sample before production?
Yes! We offer sampling to make sure you're happy with the look, fit, and feel before moving forward with production. We can either ship you the sample for in-hand approval, or if you’re in a rush, you can opt for photo approval instead. Either way, we make sure you’re confident in the final result before your order goes into production.
What are the sample charges and setup fees?
We make it simple with a flat $25 sample charge. No extra setup fees or surprises. The only exception is for specialty trims that require custom molds, such as sonic welds or metal emblems. Of course, your account manager will provide you with pricing during the quote stage to ensure everything is clear from the jump.
How does shipping work for full custom hat orders?
All full custom orders are shipped FOB Los Angeles, meaning import freight and duties are already included in the pricing we provide. This saves you from any guesswork around freight and duties. Your only responsibility is the shipping from Los Angeles to your warehouse or fulfillment center. But don’t worry, we handle the entire shipping process and coordinate everything to ensure a smooth delivery.
Are you a larger brand who would prefer arranging your own freight? Absolutely no problem, FOB factory terms are also available.
Do you offer packaging or finishing services for full custom hat orders?
Yes! We offer a range of finishing services to make your order retail- or DTC-ready. Whether you sell wholesale, retail, or direct-to-consumer, we can meet any packing requirements. From simple barcodes and polybags to stringent retail and fulfillment standards, we ensure seamless integration into your supply chain. What is blank stock headwear?
Blank stock headwear refers to pre-made hats and beanies that are ready to customize with your logo or design. Unlike full custom headwear, where every detail is built from scratch, blank stock styles are already manufactured, simplifying the process while reducing lead times and are a perfect option for brands that need quick turnaround or lower minimums.
What are the minimums and lead times for blank stock orders?
Our standard minimum is 72 pieces, which can be split into up to 3 colorways, with a minimum of 24 pieces per colorway.
Our stanard lead time is 10 days for sampling and 20 days for production. That said, we can often turn orders faster. Just let your account manager know your deadline as you kick off a new project and we'll let you know how we can accomodate.
Am I limited to the styles and vendors shown in the blank stock page?
Not at all! There are literally thousands of blanks hat styles in the market. The popular styles we've showcased is just the beginning. If you already have a specific style and OEM manufacturer in mind, just send your account manager the style number and we'll handle the rest. Alternatively, you can also share a photo of a hat you like and we’ll help you track it down or recommend a comparable option.
What options are there to customize blank stock hats?
Blank stock hats can be customized with embroidery and screen printing. Embroidery is the most popular option for logos, while screen printing works well for bold or detailed designs. If you’re not sure what’s best for your artwork, our team can guide you toward the right embellishment for the look you want and the hat you choose.
Can I see a sample before production?
Yes! We offer sampling to make sure you're happy with the look and feel before moving forward with production. We can either ship you the sample for in-hand approval, or if you’re in a rush, you can opt for photo approval instead. Either way, we make sure you’re confident in the final result before your order goes into production.
What are the sample charges and setup fees?
There’s a flat $25 charge per sample, plus a one-time $38 digitizing fee per logo. Digitizing is the process of converting your artwork into a stitch file that our embroidery machines can read. It ensures your logo is stitched accurately, with the right thread paths, density, and detail. Once your logo is digitized, it can be reused for future orders at no additional cost.
Can you sew labels into the hats?
Absolutely! In addition to embroidery and screen print machines, we also have standard sewing machines and can sew labels into your hats. While we don’t currently offer custom label production, there are plenty of easy online options and we’re happy to refer you to a trusted source.
